GETECH Garage Equipment are a UK based manufacturer specialising in the manufacture and supply of MoT testing equipment. We believe that only by supplying the very best value products that we will be able to continue to exceed our customers expectations and deliver the best service possible. Our products and services are available nationally, but we generally only supply our garage equipment directly to end-users to ensure that the quality of service you receive will always be second-to-none.
In order to ensure that our product quality remains as high as possible, and also to maintain our brands reputation in the market; we only manufacture within Europe to ensure that the strictest manufacturing controls are implemented. This means that our equipment benefits from the best warranty coverage of any manufacturer in the UK.
All equipment in the GETECH range - a range that includes headlight aligners, hydraulic play detectors and roller brake testers for various classes of MoT testing - is supplied with an extended 5 year warranty as standard.
In seeking the approval of our products for use within MoT bays, we spent a great deal of effort in adding various product features, many of which are not available in competitor equipment, to make the life of an MoT tester as simple as it can possibly be.
Our DVSA approved double laser type headlight tester is approved for testing class 2 (motorcycles), class 4 (car) or class 7 (car, PSV & light commercial) vehicles. The double lasers offer the most accurate headlamp aim measurement possible when testing vehicles and the robust design means that we offer an extended 5 year warranty on this product.
By 'simply' by adding an integrated weighing set, an additional prompting screen and software changes, our totally modular design concept enables you to achieve an automated system either from new or by means of upgrades from our standard brake testers and they can be further upgraded to test motorcycles for combined class premises if required.
Our fully automated brake testers are approved to the latest VOSA "2013 ATL Annex" specification and a video showing this latest test procedure is available to view below.
The GE2 class 2 roller brake tester is designed for mot brake inspections on motorcycles and it is capable of testing all configurations, including those with sidecars, as standard.
All brake test measurements are automatically captured during a simple operating cycle and, since this roller brake tester has an integrated weighing facility, it also then can automatically calculates the braking efficiency so when the product is used as part of a motorcycle mot test bay, the result can be easily be entered into the VTS device.

Our class 4 brake rollers are approved to the latest regulations and therefore have the facility to operate to the latest MoT testing procedures. Additionally this rolling road has been designed using a modular format which allows you to easily add integrated weighing or an auxillary display for data display with 1Kgf accuracy to a standard brake tester or even upgrade the rolling road to a fully automated version of this product (GE4ATL) at a time of your choosing or if future regulations changes dictate a change.
The GE7 roller brake tester is approved by the DVSA for testing class 4, 5 Lightweight (PSV) and 7 vehicles, and like all other GETECH brake testers, is supplied with an integral floor frame - designed to make your groundwork straightforward; infra-red remote controls, roller covers and a 5 year warranty.
Our class 7 brake rollers can be easily upgraded to a fully automated version or to a combined roller set capable of extending the testing capability to include motorcycle testing as part of a combined bay.
The GE457 is controlled using a wired remote control which contains an inspection torch and integrated controls that control a single plate play detector which operates in the lateral and rotational directions. During the test procedure, the play detector operates through a complete cycle which enables the MOT tester to concentrate on observing the effect rather than controlling the play detector itself.
Available as an addition to a GETECH automated brake roller, a combined roller brake tester offers the least expensive way to achieve all class vehicle testing in your MoT bay. A complete software change is required to enable the unit to test classes 1,2,3,4 as well as 5L and 7 using the GE7ATL roller brake tester and the upgrade is supplied with additional MoT tools, wheel alignment equipment and a decelerometer bracket for full DVSA conformance.
