The G4
class 4 brake tester has been designed as an approved piece of mot equipment
for mot testing class 3 trikes and class 4 motor vehicles. The G4 is
controlled manually, the mot tester manually operates the rollers and stores
the data by assigning in to the appropriate axle by using the infra
red remote control. This primary control method is backed up by using a
secondary manual operating function for use in times of
crisis.
This
brake tester has the option to include an integrated
weighing system which then enables the brake tester to also test class 1 and
class 2 motorcycles. If the integrated weighing system is not fitted then
the vehicle weight, from data charts, can be entered such that the brake
tester can automatically display both measured forces and imbalances as well
as calculated overall efficiencies for entry to the VTS device. These
braking forces and imbalances are captured during a simple operating cycle.
As the unit is designed in a modular format, it is possible to upgrade from
a G4 to a
G4 ATL enabling garage owners the option to minimise their outgoing
expenditure now and keep the option to upgrade to ATL testing in the future
if they want to install this brake tester as part of an approved
mot testing bay.
The unit requires a three phase, 32 Amp electrical supply and, like other
GETECH brake testers, are usually is available from stock.
