The G457
hydraulic play detector has been designed as a VOSA MOT approved product
capable of assessing the steering and suspension components of Class IV / VL / VII motor vehicles.
The G457 is suitable for use either in a pit or hoist situation for existing
mot stations who wish to apply for OPTL (One Person Test Lane) status or of
course as part of an automated test lane which GETECH can supply as an mot package.
The G457 is
controlled using an wired remote control containing an inspection torch and
integrated controls that control a single plate play detector capable of operating in
the lateral and rotational directions.
During the test procedure, the play detector operates through a complete
cycle (side to side and then rotationally which enables the MOT tester to concentrate on observing the effect
rather than controlling the play detector itself.
At all times during the operation
cycle the hand lamp remains illuminated and by design, the forces exerted by the play
detector are less than those exerted by the road surface. This which
makes it impossible to damage the vehicle which is being inspected whilst
at the same time exceeding the VOSA force input requirement.
As with all GETECH products the G457 Hydraulic Play Detector comes with a 5
year warranty and an optional service contract to maintain it is
available. The unit requires a three phase, 16 amp electrical supply and, like other GETECH
products, is usually is available from stock.
