Part
of the application process to the vehicle inspectorate requires 'local
authority consent'. Essentially this is a letter from your local council
stating that the authority have no objection to your chosen premises being
used for the purposes of MOT testing however a result of your initial
enquiry or lack of planning history for the premises a full planning
application may be required. Our local authority planning service is free
when used for the purposes of gaining the approval for your GETECH test lane
and we will;
•Complete the planning application form with you to ensure that it is
completed fully and correctly,
•Advise on and produce where necessary all the necessary supporting evidence
to support your application
•Liaise with the local authority during the planning application process
•Amend any drawings as a result of the planning application process
•Ensure that you are aware of any planning limitations at the end of the
process
