An ATL or Automatic Test Lane is the highest specification type of MOT testing bay.
It contains a lift or inspection pit with a set of play detectors to load suspension components and turn the steering wheel of the subject vehicle and a roller brake tester with an integrated weighing facility to produce an "As Presented" brake result.
Most customers ultimately do not need an ATL and so professional advice should be sought by calling us direct.
Once the correct bay specification has been agreed, The next stage would then be to invite GETECH to undertake a site visit. This will give you the confidence to proceed with your project before any significant financial expenditure is outlayed. This visit also gives your project manager the chance to discuss and suggest where necessary solutions to other site specific solutions e.g. the reporting arrangements, viewing area provision, parking arrangements or even those related to planning permission.
Within the meeting, it is usually possible to categorically confirm that the MOT test bay can be achieved successfully; therefore the complete bay project can also be started with your Project Manager at the same time.
Our complete bay packages are just that: a complete service from start to finish including, if needed, the civil and electrical provisioning, VT01 application paperwork and the first years calibration and service contract.

Stage one of getting an MOT premises approved is the VT01 application...
After all, why would you commit to a building lease and the MOT Testing Equipment Package and training costs until you're 100% certain of getting the DVSA to approve you?
Part of the VT01 application to get an MOT test station, requires planning permission or an exemption from your local council or a solicitor.
Our expertise may allow you to avoid the costs of such planning applications
We supply various complete bay packages to suit motorcycle testing as well as Class 4 or Class 4 & 7 test bays for both lift and pit installations.

Modern testing equipment captures lots of information about a vehicle in real time, but until recently, the results had to then be manually entered.
Connecting equipment directly to the MOT system reduces errors and save time.
We not only supply complete bay packages but also individual items of equipment as well; nationwide.
