Opening an MOT Station

We undertake  site visit to understand the space envelope you have available. 

As a team we discuss, face to face, your requirement for the MOT bay. 

From this we can agree a final installation arrangement or understand the available options which are then drawn up in CAD for later discussion. 

During this initial visit we will also supply you with the necessary templates and guidance on obtaining the evidence required for your application which will conform to DVSA regulation requirements.

We produce a series of layout options or the final agreed installation drawings to support the application

When all your evidence is available, we produce your paperwork and make the complete submission on your behalf. 

Normally within a 2 week period an official "Approval in Principle" (AIP) document will be produced by the DVSA giving you the green light to proceed with the installation and approval of the equipment within a 6 month period. 

With the installation agreed and pre-approved we then move onto the realisation phase.

Although we don't ourselves provide Level 3 Qualification or NT qualifications, we assist you in getting placed.

During this phase we also manage any site preparation works such as ensuring building work is completed correctly and guiding electricians to ensure the electrical supplies and feeds are correctly rated and placed.

With the site ready, our installation team will complete the installation of the equipment to the prepared site.

Testing and demonstrating the equipment is undertaken at this point now (although we also are available for further support during the first few times you use the equipment before your first live MOTs)

We submit all the pre-installation certification and photographs to DVSA in order to trigger the final approval visit.

Once this has been undertaken, you are normally live for testing within a few days
