Barry approached GETECH while searching for new premises that could support both vehicle repairs and MOT testing. Finding the right building was only part of the challenge—ensuring the workshop could accommodate a compliant, efficient MOT facility without compromising valuable repair space was just as important. Barry used us when he was looking for new garage premises suitable for both MOT testing and repairs.

Once the premises had been secured, we carefully assessed the building's layout and designed a bespoke MOT testing facility around its unique internal architecture. Positioning the test bay centrally within the workshop allowed us to make the best possible use of the available space while maintaining an efficient workflow for both testing and repair operations. The bay was installed to the middle of the workshop  due to the internal architecture of the building. It was designed to allow motorcycles as well as car tests to be conducted on the single bay purchase.

To maximise Barry's return on investment, we specified a dual-purpose installation capable of testing both Class 1 /2 Motorcycles as well as Class 4 vehicles on a single bay. This flexible solution enables the business to offer a wider range of MOT services without the cost or space requirements of separate testing facilities, increasing earning potential while making the most of every square metre of the workshop.
