When it comes to the installation of a new mot bay, a GETECH complete mot equipment package will be hard to beat. 


As a manufacturer we can directly supply you with our own premium quality; European manufactured vehicle testing equipment; before fully supporting you and that equipment with our own in-house service department to ensure your complete satisfaction with your purchase.


Whatever class of vehicle you wish to test; class 4 or class 4/5/7 testing; we can provide you with a bespoke, fully project managed and installed solution in traditional, upgradeable, one person, fully automated or combined  form to suit a lift based installation. 


We supply not only a complete set of our own DVSA approved equipment, which comes with a 5 year extended part warranty - but we also include a complete suite of support services such as VT01 assistance, a full workshop planning service, assistance with local planning applications, changes of use, certificates of lawful development where they might be required, liaison with contractors or management of those contractors - we genuinely offer a complete service to enable your project come to fruition in the shortest time possible...

Additional Services

In addition to the suite of equipment required for DVSA approval, a full project management service is included as is a post-sale; calibration and service contract.


  • VT01 Application - Complete support with making the formal application to DVSA including assistance in evidence gathering and form completion
  • Local Council Planning Applications - Part of the DVSA VT01 application to to provide written evidence from a solicitor or local Council that the use of your premises for MOT testing is allowed - This may involve Full Planning Applications, Lawful Development Certificates or other related formal work for which some additional fees may apply
  • Management of Civil / Electrical Contractors - We can liaise with your preferred building and electrical contractors direct to ensure that the preparation works undertaken are done so to the necessary standard for the MOT approval to be granted at the end of the project
  • Installation to  Prepared Site
  • All MOT Paperwork for your Installation including the DVSA mandatory documents and a 12 month calibration contract and 12 month full service contract are included

FAQs

1: Do you offer finance packages?

In a word "YES"


We work with a broker with established lines to high quality funders prepared to offer funding to businesses; even new starts, within the repair sector.


Just call and ask for a quote on this package and we will include accurate indicative figures which can be firmed up when you are ready to proceed.

2: How long does a project take? 

This is the $1m question  as it really can depend on your physical location in the Country, the premises itself and how your local Council consider an MOT testing bay within planning terms. 


The best answer to give is to state that if the correct permissions are all in place at the outset, your payment is prompt as are your site preparation works and  tester / manager training ; then a project can be undertaken in 6-8 weeks. 


If complications are experienced with, for example your Council, then is is entirely possible that an additional 8 weeks may be taken up in preparation work to gain the evidence necessary to make the formal application to DVSA.

3; Do GETECH supply equipment for self-assembly?

In a word no. Although your "competency" is the only measurement by which you might be permitted to install your own equipment we strongly believe that in a safety critical environment it is essential that the equipment is installed by an independent body who have experience of installing; not only the equipment concerned, but also the relevant safety regulations controlling a safe installation. You might argue that you are competant to do the work yourself, but to be truly competant you must have 'the training, skills, experience and knowledge' to safely achieve the installation.

4: I want to calibrate my own MoT equipment. Can I do this?

This depends on the equipment concerned. We are willing to train individuals to self-calibrate our own equipment provided only that the necessary equipment to calibrate is available on the site concerned - in other words if you purchase or hold the correct rig, we can train you in order to competently conduct the calibration; however some equipment requires that the individual is accredited (e.g. emissions testing equipment) and so therefore it is not possible for every item of equipment to be self-calibrated in this manner.

5: I want an MoT bay but I don't want to commit to you, or anyone else until I am ready.

Not a problem whatsoever. We can provide whatever level of support you require - free telephone advice is always available, we can assist in the production of drawings to support an MoT bay application you might be making yourself through to applying for local authority planning permission to meet VOSA requirements - please call us for more information and pricing.

6: I have my own source of lease funding, is this a problem?

Not at all, how you pay the bill is your business and not ours. We can invoice whichever funder you are placed with.
